A decade in the making.

Our story began when two high schoolers fell in love.

Well, actually… maybe it started long before we even existed. Our moms were in the same baby class, when we were just figments of the world’s imagination.

As kids, our paths crossed here and there - from Overlake Otters swim team to family dinners. In fact, we were together for one of Hannah’s most vivid childhood memories - watching High School Musical for the first time.

Years later, Hannah’s childhood dream of meeting a basketball player who’d give her a “T” necklace in high school came true - not with Troy Bolton, but with TJ himself. At the time, Hannah was recovering from ACL surgery. Hannah insisted she wouldn’t go on a date until she was off crutches… but once we did, the rest was history. In fact, we’ve talked every single day since that first date.

At 17, we fell in love watching sunsets at the lake and eating ice cream in the back of TJ’s Jeep. A lot has changed since then. We’ve lived in different places, made new friends, moved across the country - and across the world - together. We’ve earned a few new degrees, lived with different roommates (and eventually, with each other), said goodbye to beloved pets and cars, and welcomed new ones. Along the way, we picked up shared passions: cheering on UW and the Mariners (and occasionally, UCLA), pizza nights, ice cream runs, pickleball, wake surfing, weekend coffee walks, and exploring places this world has to offer.

Now, as we prepare to get married, we’re filled with gratitude for a journey that began before we could even walk - and excitement for our life ahead.
