Well, actually…long before we walked or talked, our moms had already introduced us in the same little baby class. As we grew older, our paths crossed again - from Overlake Otters swim team to occasional family dinners with mutual friends. In fact, we were together for one of Hannah’s most vivid childhood memories: watching High School Musical for the first time. A memory that did not make as lasting of an impression on TJ.

Years later, we reconnected in high school. Hannah was recovering from ACL surgery and swore she would not go on a date until she ditched the crutches. TJ waited patiently - and persisted - so when the crutches were gone, the rest was history. We’ve talked every single day since that first date. And yes, turns out Hannah’s childhood dream of a high school basketball player gifting her a ‘T’ necklace came true - just swap High School Musical’s Troy Bolton for TJ!

We fell in love watching sunsets over Lake Washington and sharing ice cream in the back of TJ’s Jeep. Since then, life has taken us on quite a ride - living in different places, making new friends, earning degrees, and eventually moving across the country together. We have said goodbye to beloved people, pets, and cars, and along the way discovered passions we now share: cheering for the Mariners and UW (and occasionally UCLA), pizza nights, ice cream runs, pickleball, wake surfing, weekend coffee walks, and exploring every corner of the world together.

Now, as we take this next step, we are filled with gratitude for the journey that began before we could even walk - and excitement for all the adventures still ahead.
